Superfood Ice Creams To Nourish

“My ultimate goal is to heal with food” – Amanda Battley

DRAGONFRUIT

Made with the best superfood ingredients.

Dragonfruit also known as Pitaya fruit is the fruit of several different cactus species indigenous to the Americas.

The taste is mild and often described as mildly sweet with a blend of pear and kiwi with a soft texture. It loves to grow in subtropical countries.

Dragonfruit is low in calories but high in fibre, antioxidants, phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals, and containing healthy fatty acids and probiotics.  It can also be used to beat constipation.

Antioxidants are essential to protect cells from free radical damage, which cause chronic disease and ageing.

Matcha & Vanilla

Made with the best superfood ingredients.

Matcha is very high in antioxidants, especially catechins. Its most powerful catechin is epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).

Matcha is a type of tea that’s far less processed than regular green tea because the leaves are never heated and kept under shade to preserve the natural nutrients found in the leaves. Regular green tea goes through much more processing during production and is also left to dry in the sun, versus in the shade like matcha is. Matcha green tea is a bright, green powder that’s also stirred into warmed liquid instead of the boiling and brewing methods used when making regular green tea.

Matcha green tea far outweighs even some of the most powerful superfoods we know of today. It contains over six times the antioxidants in goji berries, seven times the antioxidants in dark chocolate, 17 times more antioxidants than blueberries, and 60 times the antioxidants found in spinach. And that’s just in one teaspoon!

Matcha contains 137 times more of the popular antioxidant known as EGCG found in regular green tea. EGCG is a part of the antioxidant family known as catechins, which have been linked to better heart health, a healthy metabolism, and improved aging.

Chai

Made with the best superfood ingredients.

If you’ve ever consumed a chai-flavored beverage or food, you have something in common with a king. The origins of chai date back 5,000 years to a king’s orders in what is now India. The king was craving a medicinal beverage for Ayurveda, a traditional medical practice that promotes healing through herbs and spices. So, this chai spice blend was created with several healing spices.

Cinnamon is now known for containing powerful antioxidants and lower blood sugar. It also has anti-inflammatory properties to help your body fight infections and repair tissue.

Ginger is now known to aid digestion by assisting in oxygen delivery to organs for optimal performance. It also helps reduce nausea thanks to biological compounds gingerol and shogaol, which have anti-inflammatory properties.
Cloves are now known to help relieve minor pain. Some studies have shown that clove gel can even be used as a topical anesthetic similar to benzocaine.
Cardamom is now known to be an antiseptic that can help detoxify the body, with antioxidant and antimicrobial properties.

Love for
Ayurvedic Foods

“After reading a lot about nutrition, I was inspired by Ayurvedic foods which incorporate a lot of healthy spices into their dishes such as turmeric, cardamon, cinnamon, cumin ginger, and saffron. These amazing Ayurvedic spices can be used by any constitution type, being either Vata, Pitta, or Kapha. I started adding different spices to my breakfast, lunch, and dinner and then into Ice Creams.” – Amanda Battley
